Oh, come on.  Where is the snow?  We got just enough this morning to experiment with making footprints.  But the children and I would really like a big snow at least once this winter.

Is today the day it will accumulate?  Or will we have to wait until February?  There are big flakes falling now, so we’ve got our hopes up.

I remain hopeful that this is the year for us here in northern Alabama. Used to be we could count on a thoroughly disruptive snow a time or two a season. We haven’t had one in several years. This year we’ve had tons of cold, and we’ve had tons of water. We’ve not yet had the cold and the water at the same time.

Part of it is the beauty, and a big part of it for me right now is that I want the boys to have that glorious, play-all-day-in-the-snow experience that I was afforded several times in my childhood. But another part of it is the totally involuntary release of responsibility from being a wage-earner for a day or two.

In that regard, I’d even take an ice storm right now. 🙂

Bo, I feel the same way. I want to have that thrill with my children of playing in a foot of snow. The sun came out and melted it all today. Oh well.

You can have our snow. We had our one good snow earlier, but now it’s just cold and icy. 😦

Seattle had a 40 or 50 year storm when I was back around Christmas. Things have been chilly here as well. I’m sure yours will come.

You have to forgive me if I don’t feel sorry for you 😉 We have been ‘blessed’ with more snow than I care to see. And after getting stuck in my driveway a couple times, I am hoping it doesn’t snow again the rest of winter. That ain’t gonna happen.

Guess you’ll just have to make a trip up here to Michigan! We’ve been getting all your snow!!! If we hadn’t had a thaw after Christmas, I think it’d be up to our windows. The kids haven’t been able to play in it much though because of the temp. being so frigid. I think our high today was 15 😦 But the sun did shine for 2 days in a row… that must be some kind of record.

Oh… I forgot to ask you today… how does your son pronounce snow now? Did he say nose again? That was so cute. I bet you’ll be kind of sad when he says it right.

I have to admit I don’t miss snow. It’s pretty, but that is pretty much all.

Hope all is well today, and I wish you a great day!! HUGS!

    i know, right?

Last year we had lots of snow.
This year, barely any. Mostly the bitter cold and a few rain storms.

i want some snow! Snow is magic.
