F-F-Friday (27)

January 2, 2009

This vine of Autumn Clematis grows on the garden’s border fence at my parents’ house.  The photo was taken in September.  That’s my mom’s hand.  She went out there to the fence with me because she wanted this photo to document one of her favorite flowers.  Happy F-F-Friday!

Oh, THAT is BEAUTIFUL!! Would it grow indoors? Could I get some? My world is entirely flower-less right now – the virtual snow that you have on your blog is mimicking the REAL stuff falling outside my windows…

It’s a climber and it’s described as a landscaping plant, so I don’t know about trying to grow it indoors. It does well in full sun. Anyway, thanks for commenting, Mrs. Chili! I know what you mean about wanting to see some flowering beauty at this time of year.

We had a purple kind at our other house, and boy did it climb!

I love clematis and those are beautiful!! I planted some last year in full sun but it didn’t like where it was and although it didn’t die, it didn’t bloom, either. I am hoping it comes back in the spring..

    Happy New Year!!
