F-F-Friday (16)

October 17, 2008

As promised, here is a fall update on the field of sunflowers.  The stalks are decaying, they’ve all gone to seed and the field is full of noisy birds.

Have a great F-F-Friday.  Fertile Fall Friday . . . Fecund Farmland Friday . . . Fowl Food Friday . . .  Okay, I’ll stop now.

    Heh. I love alliteration.

We’ve got a field nearby that looks just like that. I didn’t have my camera in the car when I last drove by, though – maybe I’ll stop by today on my way to lunch with my friend…

Oh, good, Mrs. Chili. I’m glad you appreciate my attempts at alliteration this morning. I hope you have a fun lunch and a chance to get those photos.

Thanks for the sharing the link, Randomability. That’s a great story and poem that LouCeeL has related in his post there. I appreciate that you linked to my photos for a visual. 😛

Aw. They make me sad to see them all wilting.

I know, Saintseester. It does seem undignified and sad compared to how they were earlier in the summer, but now they are feeding the birds, which was their purpose in the first place. So, if you can think about it like that maybe you won’t make you sad.

Lecia, holy crap. Out of 1600 comments over at Soule Mama, you clicked on mine. Thank you! Welcome to my blog and thanks for the compliments.
